Many grinders pulverize the beans but a Bunn grinder uses precision milled burrs that shave the beans to a size and shape that allows for maximum coffee flavor extraction.

Bunn has 11 models to choose from, however, they do not current carry models suitable for home use.

Their commercial grade grinders have as much as 50% more power than their competitors, which eliminates friction and high heat affecting the flavor of the beans. Their machines are capable of grinding 1 pound of coffee in less than 30 seconds.

Bunn commercial coffee grinders are classified as portion control and bulk grinders.

Portion Control

The portion control grinders hold 3 lbs to 9 lbs of coffee in a hopper, and is capable of grinding beans from coarse to fine. Several models use 2 hoppers to store regular, decaf, or specialty coffee blends for convenience and ease of use. The clear hoppers allow the user to easily determine when to resupply beans.

The large diameter burrs are powered by a high torque, low speed motor, which is quiet and delivers the perfect grind every time.

Bulk

The bulk coffee grinders are designed for retail and specialty coffee stores. An adjustable knob allows for a wide range of coffee grinds, and fast grinding produces 1 lb of coffee in less than 30 seconds.

Three models are available, with hopper sizes of 1 lb, 2 lbs, or 3 lbs. Each model creates a turbo action that pulls coffee through the grind chamber for greater grinding efficiency.
